There is less than a week until the start of the Mostra Brazilian Film Festival! The good thing about it being virtual this year is that you don’t have to worry about the weather or traveling long distances. You can watch all the movies, which will run from November 4-14, 2020. For this 11th year of the film festival, there will be 10 feature films and 11 short films and documentaries. In order to help cover the costs of doing this virtually, they are asking for a donation of $2 per screening.
The first film is called Legalidade, which is a historical film that takes place in Rio Grande do Sul. The director, Zeca Brito, is also from Rio Grande do Sul, and he will also be leading a Q&A session about the film and his inspirations. For a full line-up, visit Mostra’s website. To donate to Mostra and watch the films, head over to the Virtual Film Festival and enjoy!
