Teaching English is a prominent program. Many of their teachers has visited Indiana over the years. This year's "Teacher in Residence" was Nielsen Pereira.

Partners of the Americas is celebrating 40 years of developing good will in our hemisphere. Indiana Partners joined the celebration with a
40th Anniversary and Feijoada gala event
.

Youth exchanges are a big part of Indiana Partners' program. For the second year we cooperated with Partners in Washington, DC. and the Embassy in Brazilia in addition to continuing our own program.

Indiana Partners welcomes professionals from most occupations. However, teachers of English as a Second Language outnumber most professions. We have many school people in Indiana who welcome the opportunity to exchange ideas with Gaúcho teachers. This year, representing Instituto Cultural Brasileiro/Norte Américano, our visiting volunteer was Maria d Graça Duarte.
Graça's interest was primarily in the motivation of teachers.

Youth Ambassador Report - 11/06/04 .
During my trip to Brazil I had the opportunity to stay with the Braun family in Gravatai. I had hosted Bruno Braun in January, February, and March and was honored to have the privilege to stay with his family. Bruno was the middle child of three. He has a younger sister named Luiza and a older sister named Helen. While staying with the Braun family I was able to become very close with the children and parents, Antonio and Loreci Braun.
